Hearing Instrument Specialist

Elizabeth graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2001 with a major in communication studies. Shortly after moving to Austin in 2014, she began her career at NewSound Hearing where she is a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist in the state of Texas. She is passionate about teaching others about hearing loss, its affects, and providing custom solutions for each individual. Elizabeth’s goal is to help you hear at your very best.

Hearing Instrument Specialist and Regional Administrative Coordinator

Elizabeth “Libby” Murphey is a Hearing Instrument Specialist who is working on getting licensed. She is from Houston, Texas and has over 11 years of experience in healthcare with a specialization in medical equipment. She is passionate about educating and helping patients understand their condition to help improve their quality of life, and to overcome barriers with proper accommodations. Always eager to learn, she understands that there is no one size that fits all approach for healthcare, and everyone has unique needs.

She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, her cat Selina, and solving puzzles.

They helped me adjust hearing aids and cleaned out my ears which helped immensely. If you have never had your ears cleaned I would suggest you try it. I started to have a little tinnitus one morning and cleaning the ear removed the pressure and blockage that was causing it.
